Lamborghini Countach LP5000S
£25.00
Opportunism is an essential quality for car paparazzi. Take your camera everywhere, and don’t be afraid to talk to the owners if the chance arises. Anyway, they’ll be flattered.
This almost-brand-new Countach 5000S in Blu Acapulco was parked outside a local pub one Summer’s evening in 1983. My Dad asked the owner if he would possibly let us take some photos of it in a quiet country lane a few days later: sure, no problem….
…so here it is in the grounds of Little Aston Hall – an 18th Century stately home with parkland near Birmingham, which was being redeveloped into residential apartments. At the time, the whole site was virtually deserted, so providing us with lots of scope for some great shots.
Better still, we were joined on location (!) by another local Lambo: the first UK Jalpa (red with black, RHV 262Y, chassis # 12056).
