Lamborghini Miura P400SV
£25.00
The Miura SV is one of the greatest (perhaps the greatest) of Lamborghinis.
If you’d like an original UK Market RHD example, there are just seven to choose from.
This is one: chassis # 4828, at a Lamborghini Club UK (LCUK) meeting at Silverstone in 1986. This was taken to the rear of the pit lane garages – and like Goodwood the place was considerably more down-at-heel back then than it is today.
Both circuits – Silverstone and Goodwood – began life as perimeter tracks for World War Two RAF bases: RAF Silverstone and RAF Westhampnett respectively. Both also began their front-line racing activities in 1948.
Similarly, Miuras are now mostly in pristine shape after having often suffered neglect in earlier years. LAM130 (‘LAMBO’) was formerly registered LYX 283K and used to be carted around on a small, clattering low-loader hauled by a pick-up truck. Its registration number was painted on the car’s nose – in what looked like Dulux gloss.
